Lights, Camera, Celebration! The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, in collaboration with Chanel, recently hosted a glamorous event: the Academy Women’s Luncheon. This exclusive gathering, held in Los Angeles, brought together a constellation of influential women from every facet of the film industry. The purpose? To celebrate the Academy Gold Fellowship for Women, a crucial program dedicated to nurturing the next generation of female filmmakers.
The luncheon, hosted at the stunning Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, was a who's who of Hollywood. Attendees included Academy governors, industry leaders, and a dazzling array of accomplished women. The afternoon was packed with highlights. Academy President Lynette Howell Taylor kicked off the event with opening remarks, followed by a presentation from costume designer Ruth E. Carter. Carter had the honor of presenting this year's Gold Fellowships for Women to recipients Alina Simone (U.S. fellow) and Marlén Viñayo (non-U.S. fellow). And to top it all off, the talented Kristen Stewart delivered a captivating keynote presentation.
