WWE Star Addresses Rumors of Replacing Faction Member
In a recent interview, WWE star Chelsea Green addressed the speculation surrounding the future of her faction, the Secret Service, following Piper Niven's serious injury. Niven has been out of action since August, leaving Green and Alba Fyre as the only members on television. Green's social media posts about finding a new member have fueled fan theories that she might be looking to replace Niven permanently.
Clarifying Intentions
Green, however, set the record straight in an interview with Woman's World. She emphasized that she is not seeking to replace Niven but rather to continue the storyline in Niven's absence. Green acknowledged Niven's crucial role within the faction, stating, 'Piper is so valuable to us. We're not just replacing her, but the show goes on. This is Hollywood, baby!'
Green also explained her approach to using social media to build storylines, saying, 'I love to start a storyline on social media and plant the seed, because then the writers can gauge reactions and maybe bring it into their creative meetings.'
Supporting Piper Niven
Green shared her personal experiences with injury to highlight her support for Niven during her recovery. She recalled, 'We have all watched each other go through injuries. The girls took care of me when I broke my collarbone in India almost 10 years ago. They washed my hair, packed my bags, took me to the airport, got me on a plane home.'
'Now it’s my turn to make sure that Piper is okay – more so mentally. There’s not much I can do physically, but I want to make sure that as she takes that step back, she realizes this is the time to rest, recover, brainstorm new ideas, start a new hobby, and not get in her head. Because, trust me, we get in our heads!' Green added.
The 'Real' Leader
Green also discussed the dynamics within the Secret Service, revealing that despite her on-screen persona, she is not the 'real' leader of the group. She credited her stablemates for that role, stating, 'Everyone looks at me like I’m the leader, but we know within the group that this is all make-believe. I’m not the real leader, and that’s fun.'
'It also helps that Piper and Alba are my friends, and we have mutual respect for each other. They are also way more advanced in wrestling than I am!' Green concluded, crediting her earlier mentor, Maria Kanellis, for setting the tone for her leadership style.
